Wow! I didn't know your range of anti-knowledge extended so far. Economics, history, politics, and now energy! Everyone with even a bit of knowledge in the area knows that the aging infrastructure is yet another byproduct of deregulation. Energy companies in a deregulated market no longer have responsibility or motivation to invest in infrastructure, or R&D, and it rots. Re-regulating, and putting the energy bandits out of business, is now a national priority.
