The failure of the system is that lies and liars infest the government and lie to the public about non existent dangers. The failure of the system is that no one will allow it in there backyard and will lie to keep it out. The failure of the system is to force good technology to be abandoned. The inability to build new generation facilities causes more power to be transmitted. The more transmitted the more likely a cascade failure will occur. Adding billions in new transmission is choosing the second best solution. System failure will occur no matter what is done. Who will be blamed does not matter in the big picture. As long as liars are not called on their lying by appeasers, the problem will not be fixed well if at all.
