There was nothing in what i posted that was nearly as insulting as their Englisch Einzig proposal to dictate language to the individual ..... go back to the start there, observe if you will that i asked the candidate a question, he replied with a brief clear answer, i stated my position, and that was that .... then this other individual comes along, and at great <sigh> length tries to convince me that 1) the candidate did not really say 'English Only', 2) that even if he did really say 'English Only' [lol] he didn't really mean it as racist, it's a pure coincidence that millions of brown people indigenous to this continent happen to feel more familiar with another tongue, then 3) that the reason for this English Only programme so clearly pointed against hispanos would certainly never ever be used against them, oh no, never ever, no sirree
This continued well after i laid the broad hint, by responding to him in spanish, that i wasn't particularly interested in talking to him anymore, he had tried all his points, there wasn't much more to say, so again i figured i was done with that individual .... but that didn't work, so next post i state it plain, déjenme en paz, that means that s/he and any group with which s/he is affiliated have my complete blessing to leave me in peace, and there is no way s/he can plead ignorance of that meaning, in these advanced days of babelfish ..... now following one more rather direct indirecta i was starting to think that s/he had got the hint, and s/he may indeed have, seems to have at this hour anyway, so for the record i am responding to yours strictly due to your gratuitous use of the term 'insulting'
Also for the record, i do not believe the definition of spam includes 'posting in or about spanish on a thread to do with an election in Alta California', nor do i expect the term herrenvolkismo to violate the ToU, nailing as it does so directly the syndrome to which it was applied in the usage ..... it must be said however, that it is demonstrably true that '"muttersprache" is a word in a foreign language', lol, yet we must at the same time note that in that far-away place with the strange-sounding names they do capitalise the word, so there is perhaps a doubled foreignicity to consider with the lowercase, oooo scarey-boo
I would agree with you on pot, for what it's worth, it's none of the guvmint's business what a person chooses to eat or drink or what harmless plant he chooses to smoke, any more than it's the guvmint's business to dictate his language ..... but, not particularly interested in discussing that at length, don't have the time really and don't smoke it for years, so if there is now no further business gentlemen, i bid you adiós |
