Great post by a great poster, which is why this is a nice case study: Message 19213761 Russia "invades" Afghanistan, where as the United States "gets sucked into an immoral war against Vietnam". Heck, the U.S. Sec State is on record saying we drew the Russians into Afghanistan (not that that makes it true). Last time I checked, we flew to the opposite side of the globe for our Vietnam, whereas the Russians had theirs directly on their border. Can ANYONE bring themselves to say that we invaded Vietnam? Tom
