This is hardly true just of Fox and CNN. Simple scarcity of time forces editing, which leads to particular slants being chosen. This true of any TV station or publication.

In a like vein to your comments, there were many in the US who favored Hitler until the outbreak of war and thought fascism was the wave of the future. Charles Lindbergh, that famous aviator, was one of them. So was Henry Ford.
