let me disagree, cubic zirconia is a great hit and it hit diamond sales mostly the small ones (below 1/3 carat) which was the bread and butter of the diamond industry.

Synthetic diamonds will hit the 1/3 to 1 carat market. For sure those that can afford 2 to 5 carat diamonds will not settle for synthetic and brag every day that "their" is natural
