You sound more like a Libertarian than a Republican, though you don't have the Libertarian outlook on sexual matters. I'm a liberal on most domestic issues and conservative on most intl. ones. I own over 100 guns, so my liberal friends think I'm a Fascist. I always comment that "you have to have weapons to give the conservatives some pause in taking away our civil liberties."

I don't support the Iraq war, though I totally support the troops. Lord knows I've through enough situations where my country was wrong but my butt was on the line, and I know it's not the troops' fault that The Supreme Court appointed a jackass President. We need to fight terrorism, not make a muscle to scare unarmed tiny countries or to irradicate all evil dictators. All our invasion has done is force Iran and Korea to speed up their nuclear programs. Small countries everywhere have learned that if they're weak and have sellable resources, we'll invade. They either have to get stronger or kowtow to us. A bad lesson, IMHO.

If you are intelligent, and you seem to be, then you look at each issue on its own merit. Blanket labels only work for the jingo-meisters on both ends of the spectrum.
