A hugely successful value fund for large investors that I follow via its 13Fs recently took a large new position in PSFT and a smaller one in Sybase. The position in PSFT is interesting because it took place in the middle of the Oracle bid, which seems dead in the water for now. It is also interesting because, as a value fund, PSFT should not look particularly attractive at a 30 P/E.

Consolidation in the sector coming up?

Ellison not so crazy when he offers $19 and change per share?

Amazing that PSFT didn't move when it announced its excellent results recently.

All the signs point to growth.

Looking into taking a position.
