You don't get those commodity jobs back. What happens is that the next thing is created by those people who need to make money. There is a good reason why the PC and the Internet as a business started here and not Japan who was suppose to cream us with their superior methods. People who have jobs and are making money aren't pushed to create the latest thing. People do great things trying to get money not because they have it. India will do what we did, and maybe they'll even do what the Japanese did, develop a better way of doing it but you can almost guarantee that the next thing, the thing that no one sees now won't come from a place where everyone is happily making money. It comes from somewhere where innovative people are desperate to succeed.
