Yuppo, plenty of jobs around here,,,,as unemployment is second or third worst in the nation...but maybe MSFT will rescue us,,,maybe they won't find out about China or India<g's>.
Whether there is an analogy here or not, Boeing WAS the bread and butter for our area, maybe similar to what the institutions did for SV as BA did for Seattle and vicinity. Well, BA, due to taxation, environmental impact issues, cheap labor elsewhere, etc., are on their way out to greener pastures. Not saying this will occur to SV, but bounce the notion off the Pacific Nothwesterners who would have never imagined in their wildest dreams that BA would no longer be synonymous with Seattle? Wow, the going was good for the employees of BA with their arguably extremely high wages for many years...
