Chinu, Iraq has little to do with the battle between conservatives, and liberals, except for the fact that the liberals have shown a tendency to weaken our armed forces, making us more vulnerable to attack.

I'm not obsessed with Saddam any more. His structure has been destroyed except for a few militants that are engaging in sabotage. The intended goal for this war, was to rid the Middle East of a despot, and tyrant, like Saddam. It is obvious that, although the Iraqi citizenry did not ask for our help, probably because the did not believe we would actually come. Saddam, and his ministers, had them convinced that no one would help, to keep them do they would stay cowed down. If, as you infer, they did not want our help, why did they cheer our troops as they entered Baghdad? There was a link between Saddam and terrorism, as he helped to finance the groups that carried out some of the terrorist attacks.

The US has to go it alone, because nobody else had the balls to get involved. Britain did, in a limited sense, but the Brits, being the pompous assholes they are, are trying to crucify Blair for doing so. Those snobbish bastards seem to forget that we whipped their ass twice, and then turned around and saved those, self same, asses twice.

Vietnam was a stupid, senseless war. Even so, I was incensed that a bunch of hippie freaks spit on some of our troops as they returned home. They should have been spitting on JFK's grave, and in LBJ's face. There is no way to run a war by politicians. At least, both Bush's have left the battle decisions up to their veteran commanders.

I still run down some of the Vietnamese, because they are communists. Throughout history, socialism, and communism, in some form, has been tried, and has always failed.

All of those in command, knew that there would be sabotage.
Sabotage is by nature a very covert, and stealthy, operation. There is no warning, and can then be exercised in a surprising manner. As our troops continue to arrest, and kill, those responsible, the sabotage will stop. If it doesn't, we should say to hell with them, and bring our people home, to let them kill each other until they are all dead.

I don't know where you come up with this LOL crap. There isn't a damn thing funny about wars, and the aftermaths. You must have a warped mind.
