I really hope something big happens like nanotech to save us from our own greed, but I'm not optomistic. I read where over 500 mexican maqiadora factories have moved to China - so the sucking sound is global now! I see the Americanizaton of the global village, the rise of foreign middle classes concurrent with the decline of our own. The indifference of the trans-national corporations and the politicians they fund. Perhaps when a state of uneasy subsistence prevails on this globe equally things will settle down.
