I am opposing demonization. I have allowed for occasions where making a jibe is acceptable, in the past. I meet my own criteria<g>.
Yeah, I guess I think that anyone who takes so extreme a position is kind of a doofus. Anyway, this is what I said:
Sure, but for every dumbkopf who buys the idea that liberals per se are the enemies of America, there is at least one on the Left muttering about multinationals, Bush's alleged silver spoon, and the neocon fascists who are taking over the country. So it does not seem to me to be an matter of where one is on the spectrum, but a matter of how prone one is to adhere to poorly founded, lurid, "master narratives" as a way to orient yourself in the world.......
I am pretty comfortable saying that people who buy these ideas are not firing on all pistons, and I do not see how I am straddling, since I reject categorically all such nonsense........
By the way, thanks for confirming that this is Coulter's theory, that she in fact thinks that liberals are the enemy of America........ |
