What if one believes that seeing homosexual relationships accepted in society as normal is not family-safe?

And what if one believes that seeing people speaking in tongues or wrapped in snakes is not family-safe?

Please excuse me for answering a question with a question. <g>

I don't think we can or should protect kids from ideas. Nor should we protect them from knowing that everyone does not share their family's POV. That's not providing safety, that's developmentally disabling them. We should, however, protect them from public displays of sexuality. What's not fine is the neighbors feeling each other up in public or dressing like they're off to their jobs walking the streets, regardless of the sex of their partners. If the neighbors are homosexual but they aren't hanging all over each other--and the parents aren't making a fuss about their presence in the neighborhood--then the kids will assume that they're just roommates until they're old enough to deal with the reality. That, IMO, is family safe. Tarting our kids up like JonBenet Ramsey is, OTOH, not safe.
