Seems to me the seeds of a settlement may be in the above. The Israelis will have to trade something for the end of the right of return and that might be the right of Jews to be in the Palestinian state in completely jewish communities as are the above. Perhaps in order not to appear racist, nothing would prevent folks from moving between israel and palestine after a 20 year period. That would allow future gens of Palestinians to return not to their homes but to their towns and future gens of jews to settle in religiously significant areas. Of course numbers would need to be restricted on both sides. I know. I know. I am being overly optimistic but a future like this may satisfy some of the religious and nationalist folks on both sides and make a settlement today more likely. Mike
