Kathleen, from what I remember he sort of gave what I think people in the biz call a "tease" (i.e. sort of saying to the viewers "hey, there's something happening, stay tuned and we'll fill you in")
Factually, nothing different. I think it amounted to sort of - Tom Kurlack chip analyst for ML is making comments on the chip sector, more later. Don't know if DF was the one who intially reported the "20% upside".
Personally, I would preferred him being the one to fill in the blanks. Not saying that Maria B. is bad, just that IMHO David Faber is better and I think that if the producer/director of the show had let him do his job, we'd have gotten a little more substantive and informative report.
The "20% upside in the chip sector" call itself is IMHO ludicrous. Forget the prices. All "chip companies" aren't equal. Some have better product portfolios than others, are in better markets, etc.
From a trading perspective, I should be thanking Kurlack. I went into the morning flat and he basically gave me more profit opportunity on the shorts that I thought were setting up.
But from an analysis perspective, the call makes me totally sick.
Good trading,
