Oh I don't think McCarthy as a name is so bad. After all, look at dat singer guy, the lead Bay-ul, Paul McCarthy. When I think of McCarthyism, I think "Wings" and mess.(grin -LOL)

OT: Hey, btw Tom (or anyone else). I'm thinking about learning a new Op Sys. I'm tired of Microsoft's mess. I really am! I gotta guy who claims Linux is like the Mother of All Op Syses and stuff. He wants to set up a little something on the side and have us use it. Claims I can even use it on my workstation. Mandrake (what is software doing being named "Mandrake," anyway? Mess got me worried.)

Anyway, what do you think is the best Linux for a server. I need speed and stability. And what is best for workstation (or maybe one can work for both).

I'm told I can even get Linux "Office" software that is compatible with MS Office. If that is true, then why am I even fiddling around with MS at all? Most of our stuff is generated out of MS Office (I think). So I can't really see a need to keep MS. We have some MSSQL Servers and stuff, but hear they can be replaced too.

Completely ignorant of Linux. I was given a Windows box years back and that's pretty much all I really know. If this Linux thingy works, then I'll use it.
