Ray: Your right on about the political threads. I'm not aware. When I first started this thread. My intentions were just in fun. My ambition was not to create an animal like PGB. As things developed, I thought diversity. At first I did some marketing through PM to get the thread started. I know, I was guilty to what some would call spam on a few political threads. After the first couple days, I stopped. Bookmarks somewhere in the twenties I thought was somewhat manageable. I would now let the thread stand alone on it's own merits. Any growth, would have to be through word of messages, through others. Different opinions from different mind sets and perspectives. That from everybody that does tune in hear. All hearing diverse opinions, and sometimes hopefully a laugh, from ones that need it. I thought I would play a role like Paul Duke. Chiming in to keep things from getting to dry. Right or left,a laugh I though, is something that sometimes brings both sides toward the middle.

If the truth be known. I actually was recruited here by someone at SI who is no longer here. who after numerous E-mails finally convinced me to come. I was writing business comments at the Olin board in my style. He did say many times. He like what I wrote. No, my head didn't blow up, but I thought I'll give it a try. I didn't at first write hardly anything. I felt committed to stay at II till it's demise.
My first Post: below.http://www.siliconinvestor.com/subject.aspx?subjectid=34540

Not to much interest in it as you see. As II closed. I spent more time over here. I was very impressed with quality and content of other investor's here. As you know the recession came. and so did 911. It motivated me to start recession investing with politics. Little did I know back then, what political threads were out there.
Subject 51871

About the same time (business history another interest)I started "Whatever happened to that company or Division" Not to much interest.

Subject 52037

When the recession ended and stock came back. I started my favorite area. "Speculating in Takeover Targets"
Subject 52097

I've already gone over this thread.

As to your warning about others, thanks, but I'll be the judge. The thread I think does offer some rounded diversity. If you haven't already figured out. I like the press have a bias, but try to look at both sides. That's IMO-why the multi-political party system works. When there is a meeting of the minds.
That's why legislation gets passed. IMO-Being a politician you need to be diverse. For the good of the people, for your own agenda, making friends and influencing people.

Arnold is sinking, but if he now can come forward with insightful approaches. I think he can start the rise again, and defeat the recall . To do that he has to give the good people of California a reason, and now is the time to start. It he does have those insightful approaches on issues. The press will change focus.

Ray: "NOW YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY" do you believe the rest of the story?
