TLindt, here is some T/A wrt CKFR. It is in a very long-term downward sloping channel starting from Nov '95 (earliest data I have). But it is also in a shorter-term upward trend since April '97. Only if it can surpass 25 will it not be considered to be in a downtrend. It is a very interesting chart in that the action between Nov '95 - Aug '96 almost exactly was repeated from Oct '96 - Apr '97. It is very pretty to see. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the pattern is not being repeated so exactly this time.

It seems that it is in holding pattern right now, could be used as a "rolling stock" (between ~16 1/2 - ~19 3/4) if one desires. If it can break 20, there is some slight resistance at 21, then onward to 25. But if it breaks below 16 1/2, watch out. But in the meantime, it fluctuates around the 50DMA (which is also telling me it could go either way).

Both the DMI and the MACD are neutral. And the overbought/oversold indicators are showing neutral also.

I hope this helps, even though it really is neutral. Maybe the general psych of the market doesn't know how to take this audit either.
