Hi Jim, I think UOPIX's internal costs eat them alive when the market flattens out. We experienced this sort of erosion a couple of years ago as well. I've switched to QQQ for now to stabilize the value as its carrying costs are ziltch by comparison. I can continue to trade the Qs until such time as we see a "high risk" bubble again. Then again if risk drops back to low risk, I'll rejoin the chase. Maybe I'll look at RSIFX instead. Looks like the same pattern, but the decay in a flat market seems to be less.

My Speculation component has been bearish for some time. It is less this week than in recent history, but still not great.

Overall it's the only one of the four components of the Idiot Wave that's bearish. The other three are still mildly bullish.
