Just 30-50 years, it was possible for the Nazi flag to be in the place of the Israeli flag, if not literally, then figuratively. Then, the religious right were strongly anti semitic. I would not trust their new found love of all things Zionist.

I don't know, but I doubt that there was even such a thing a religious right 30-50 years ago.

This is America.......trust me, we've always had a religious right. You know in the Pledge Allegiance where it says "under God".......that was added in the fifties by the then religious right. The religious right is as American as apple pie, and until very recently, was strongly anti semitic. That's why their current love fest with Israel is a shocker to the rest of us!
