On power lunch they had the reporter that did the article in Wired mag , also they had a lady with a machine that could not tell the difference between a real diamond and a synthetic diamond. Display of diamonds yellow's and etc synthetic diamonds were going 50% less than the real thing they couldn't tell the difference a company in Florida and another one in Boston , and a third one are producing Synthetic diamonds The market will be hot for these diamonds imo also they had a CNBC poll 71% for synthetic versus 29% for the real thing , think they had 829 responses , still interesting though. GE did the first synthetic diamond back in 1954 , and wasn't until new tech, from Russia in the 90's , that made the cost of synthetic diamonds , cheaper than the real diamonds. I worked up at the Diavik mine , during the construction period, so I witness first hand , the production cost of the real stuff
