NOTHING that Saddam could have said would have stopped Bush from attacking....THAT is the real problem.... Correct. Saddam could have said nothing to avoid war because Saddam's word was made meaningless by 12 years of lies and deception. Only proof, as mandated by the UN, of full disarmament could have avoided war. Bush made this point absolutely clear. Saddam failed and now America owns Iraq. Simple as friggin' that.
