5 machines sharing an ISP through a router...one machine, wireless, is sending data constantly..even when no pages are loading. I've obviously been the victim of some sort of hack where my PC is being used to compute, send or entertain someone. There isn't any sensitive data on that machine but it slows me way down and ....

any ideas?

I've been unable to find any spybots, data miners etc

I don't use a firewall or virus protection and up until now it has caused me no pain. The NETGEAR router has some sort of built-in as well a s encryption but it's not activated
