There is no reason to "get out of there". The re-colonization of Iraq is a massive success, and any turning away would lead to 91101's all over the West-and a resulting slaughter of the third world that Bush is still trying to avoid. The destruction of Syria and Iran are inevitable. The only question is when.

They will both be taken down sooner or later. I suggest we use an ally who isn't squeamish about killing huge segments of a hostile populace. Syria isn't like Iraq-where the Baathists and fanatical subhuman terrorists are tiny minorities, rapidly being suppressed. If we go against Syria alone-the best route is with nuclear weapons, not ground troops. If, instead, we contract with someone like the Russians to occupy them, we have to stand back and allow them to clean up the scum.

I like the nuclear approach better. The Russians, after all, might lose...
