chinu, Speaking of photo ops, that was the only reason Gore went to Vietnam. He was, always, surrounded by an entire platoon of troops to keep his candy ass out of harms way. Though it was not actually a photo op, what about the time Billy Jeff held up all of the air traffic for over an hour at LAX to get his hair done on Air Force One. Unfortunately, photo ops are part of the political game. I don't like them anymore than anyone else, but when you start laying blame, or casting aspersions, make sure you include all of the politicians in DC, and state capitols. They all do it.

I guess you are not aware of the routine during so called vacations by any President. They may not be in the White House, but they work a full schedule, and never compromise any governmental duties.

Wake up to reality. It may not be pretty, but is has become the norm for all politicians. At least bush has not pulled a Teddy Kennedy, and drive a young woman off a bridge, and then leave her to drown while he saved his own ass. The first thing he did after he, supposedly swam to shore, was set up his CYA campaign. It would not have taken a herculean effort to dive down, and help that girl get out of the car, if he had wanted to.
