I am sure you have a point in there somewhere but the article was just too long for me to read carefully this fine morning. Would it suffice for me to say that I live with the French every day and I love it? That they are considerate, friendly, full of joie de vivre, etc? You are barking up the wrong tree, Lazarus. Honestly, living in the South of France, fluent in France, and with some hundreds of French friends, colleagues and acquaintances, I am not about to place a really high weight on the opinions on the French of some Americans sitting in their North American corner of the world, pissed at the French because they refused to roll over and play dead like the English :-)
