"You break it, you own it". And not just in china stores.

If US exits Iraq, the place will be a witches' brew in no time. "Bubble bubble, toil and trouble...". Remember ex-Yugoslavia after Tito?

So you guys thought flag-waving and skin-deep superficial planning a la "We'll shock & awe and the natives will wave" was all? That the other countries who warned against the invasion of Iraq were "spineless cowards" etc etc? That "Saddam is evil so we take him out and all will be good" was deep thinking and planning?

What worries me is not so much the headache Iraq is going to be for the US. I don't even really care for just how much more difficult US' invasion of Iraq will make the world a more dangerous place for Americans. I am concerned for my friends and family members living in major cities of the US, but honestly, we all lie in beds we make, and you guys are making yourself a rather dangerous one...

What I am worried about is that it is highly likely that pretty soon, there will be an attack or two like yesterday's UN bombing on US targets, killing Americans in serious numbers. Then America might withdraw from Iraq, just like they did in Somalia (although the presence of oil in Iraq will probably delay that quite a bit). The resulting power vacuum will not be good news for the region. Think Balkans...

That is what I worry about at night.
