Bush is a very strange mix. As I am sure you are aware the federal budget has rarely expanded at the clip it is expanding at now. Bush is not an ordinary conservative. Bush is the kind of conservative who can blithely increase our federal government, and the intrusiveness of our federal government without, it appears, a second thought. And he loves to spend- boy does he loves to spend. It is an insult to real conservatives to call Bush a conservative (imo). chuckbaldwinlive.com washingtonpost.com
