Ciena Corp. (CIEN): The maker of fiber-optic telecommunications products said it sees earnings for the fiscal third quarter ended Aug. 2 in the range of 31 cents to 33 cents a share, up from 10 cents in the year-ago period, and more than the average estimate of 27 cents by five analysts surveyed by IBES International Inc. Ciena shares fell 3 11/16 to 54 3/16.
