There were isolated incidents but nothing like the playground crap we saw from US politicians, editorial writers, some comedians, etc.

Overall I hope the whole incident is a further spark to improving the EU and carving out a real future as a strong regional grouping. Beats the hell out of being Uncle Sam's newspaper-fetching lapdog.

And the EU has a long way to go to fix all its problems, no doubt.
