OT: you may remember Ascend Communications (which was taken over by Lucent in a $26 billion merger several years ago). Some time later the former CEO and the former CTO created a new company called Zhone Technologies of Oakland CA, just a few miles from the former ASND HQ. A privately held company Zhone recently announced a merger with a fiber optic company called Tellium (TELM). When completed Zhone will become a publicly traded company as the major holder of the combined companies' stock. Mory Ajabat rides again! Dee Jay
