This article is funny. Because people are discouraging discrimination against gays, the author feels necessary to annoint is article with a provocative title.

The author suggests that if he can put up with condom strewn parks as if the gay population is entirely responsible for that mess, then gays can put up with the occasional disapproving comment. Well, that would be fine if that's what gays experience......an occasional disapproving comment. However, that's hardly the extent of the gay bashing.

In fact, the bashings are usually not verbal but instead physical; to whit, the crucifixion of that gay man in Wyoming. Prior to his crucifixion, while on vacation in Egypt, the guy had been abducted and raped by some Egyptians.

Homophobic attitudes are rampant in this world. Its not surprising that there are strong legal objections to the put down of gays. And frankly, I don't see what the big deal is.
