all that you say is already understood... you know
me well enough to know that.

some concerns i have:

<rant>
1) that general c. will be looked upon as
"just a better soldier" than what we have now
when what we need is NOT a soldier but a CEO.

2) the management style that is built into the
general is "top down" and this is the century
for a "bottom up", networked government model.
"people powered" howard is the only one who's
put something like this together. the only way
the US will survive is if we ALL are empowered
and willingly take responsibility for the mess
we're in and make the necessary sacrifices to
pitch in and rebuild (with the rest of the world
in mind as partners). we really must make a
commitment to international law and support
it with international law enforcement and
an international court system.

3) that general c. is not serious enough to have
entered the field and gone head to head with all
of the other contenders. can't win the lottery if
you don't buy a ticket???? he's passed up scores
of forums and opportunities to communicate with
the american public - if he's not going to get out
there and talk to me - i'm not going to hire him
just on his scholastic and military credentials.
show me yer plans, and yer skills wesley!

i feel the same about hillary. i know she is fully
qualified and would make a tremendous president - and
i agree with her worldview and politics... but if
she won't come to practice and take some snaps
and run some plays i'm not going to put her in at
the end of the game to run the two minute offense
for us.
