I'm under fifty and empathy I have. I believe your assumptions are wrong. I've friends well under fifty and they feel as I do. Their property tax felt high at time of purchase but they understand they will be protected in the years to come.

.....These house-rich people just don't have a clue as to the day to day economic issues that regular people.....

Don't you own two residences Lizzie? I recall that you do. Both were around a 1M each when you bought as tax shelters/rentals. Are you one of these 'regular' people?
