"...it is because of your constitution separating church from the state. " No Sammy, not where I come from. The reason we don't have Christmas Trees is because our elected officials decided we should become a more INCLUSIVE society. There are 400 kids coming from Catholic homes in my grade school and 2 kids of Hindu background. The reason we don't have the trees is because we don't want to offend the 2 (two)Hindu kids. So the other 400 are being told they must be TOLERANT of other religions and have forfeited their Christmas celebration. Do you think it's right? I don't!
