You are missing the point. The overall tax level is too high and it's screwing both young and old. That and real estate inflation which has periodically reached speculative levels every time there is a boom in CA. The million dollar houses weren't caused by Prop 13, they were caused by too many people with too much easy money throwing it at too few houses.
