Oh let's see: "Sitting on your ass" would be no invasion, no 6,000 (minimum... see www.iraqbodycount.com) Iraqi civilian deaths, while US efforts could focus on getting Bin Ladin et al (remember them? the real baddies?), no sharp drop in perception of US in the world, no ravaging through all understanding of law and order in the international community, no providing a breeding ground for future terrorists, not to mention the perfect recruitment story to Al-Qaeda and whoever else feels like feeding on the current misery and frustration of Iraqis and Muslims worldwide.
Yeah, an unimaginable path, that one... So much better that you guys have done "something".
Going by your logic - I don't like the way women are treated in Kuwait, I should maybe firebomb the place. That's doing "something", isn't it? Better than "sitting on your ass", hmm?
You may have heard of "Better shut up if you don't have anything meaningful to say". Well, it isn't much different with actions - if you don't have a clue what you are doing, then you should probably do nothing, THINK and PLAN and hope for illumination as to what a GOOD ACTION could be.
