I suppose if times are tough, one can always go and stir up a little business -g-.

Actually I use Zone Alert which is good for normal viruses and stuff, plus some other freeware.

I use Symantec Ghost for doing hard drive back ups. It's very good but also a highly competitive market segment right now. It's software seems a bit old fashioned in some respects but I think the designers have thought matters through carefully.

When the chit is flying around the internet, it's the established companies with proven technology that will do well.
