Clark is a real leader and does NOT just support Bush policies...In fact, I would claim he is the one candidate who can really beat Bush (he actually appeals to A LOT of Independents and frustrated Republicans).

IMO, this article is a MUST READ to start to really understand Clark...

The people who are dismissing Clark as the "military" candidate should take a look at the entire picture. He is an extremely intelligent man with progressive views who chose to be in the military and has as much experience or more than any of the other candidates. Bush is in trouble and will be in a lot more trouble as more is leaked out about his lies to start the Iraq war. There are also Bush's failures to try to adequately prevent 9/11 -- why aren't we seeing The White House provide FULL cooperation with the investigation..?

The Democratic Party has the same opportunity right now they had when Carter won in an upset in 76 and Clinton in 92 if they only will pick 'the right candidate.' The reason Dean has done so well so far is because the voters want a candidate who will stand up to Bush. If Clark enters the race the dynamics will change very rapidly as he is the one candidate who could carry a lot of Southern states which is something Gore failed at. There are a tremendous number of voters who are angry and disappointed with Bush including large numbers of Republicans and many veterans and folks in the military. If the Democrats pick someone like Clark who can attract a lot swing voters and at the same time stand up to Bush, then the Democrats will be back in the White House in 2004. If the Democrats pick a weak candidate who will be thought of in the South and to swing voters as another McGovern or Dukakis it will be much harder (although even then there is enough dissent a Democrat could still win). From what I have seen so far Clark looks like a candidate who could appeal across party lines and labels...Keep an open mind and I actually think Clark will be 'the Seabiscuit candidate' of 2004. Stay tuned -- things will get interesting soon. I expect Clark to make a final decision about running in less than 3 weeks.
