It is not so much because of the loss of privilege as it is because it is so obviously not worth a court case to get rid of the Ten Commandments, and therefore is a demonstration of the depth of hostility felt by the secular elite towards Christianity, which raises the alarms.

I understand the point about court cases provoking hostility. I spoke to that earlier. However, I don't think it logically follows that going to the lengths of a court case necessarily demonstrates depth of hostility. If the only weapon you have is a machine gun, does that mean you are more hostile than someone who uses a knife? There weren't any lesser tools available for people to make the point that they felt they were treated unfairly so they used what they had.

I know that you don't agree with the premise that the treatment is unfair. I suggest to you that your "obviously not worth a court case" reflects what it is worth to you and not to them. I have said this before and I'll say it again, a little understanding and courtesy by the majority could have avoided all this. Yes, I know, the minority is supposed to subordinate itself to the majority, in your scheme of things, but other people have other schemes and that majority arrogance sometimes provokes uppity behavior. And uppity behavior provokes a backlash, and here we are...
