Well, of course it is worth a court case to someone, but on genuine constitutional grounds?

I don't know whether the folks who started all this thought they had genuine constitutional grounds or not. It seems to me that the matter at least brushes up against constitutional grounds to warrant consideration as such but not clearly over the line. I still treat it primarily as a matter of courtesy and bullying. My point is that, if they didn't think the constitutional grounds were genuine, then why did they go to such lengths. Well, possibly because they're hostile. And possibly because they are in pain and are acting out in response to the cold shoulder their pain has gotten them. And possibly because they're nuts. I don't know. But it still really saddens me the way you treat that pain so cheaply.

As far as societal hostility toward the religious, we all live in our own subcultures. We are exposed to other subcultures but we view the world primarily through our own. As I said at the top of this discussion, I don't personally know people who are stricken by the prospect of loosing a plaque from their courthouse. I don't know any churchgoers. I never see anyone in my neighborhood going to church on Sunday mornings. Seems to me they're all sleeping in or at the pool with me. The culture that is so outraged about this is utterly alien to me. I don't know who all these churchgoers are. All I know is a secular world. And the people in my secular world show no apparent hostility towards the religious. So I don't know who you're talking about.
