Ted, Sorry but you're all confused with the CA thingy.
Why is it OK to elect one of the Gang of Nine just because "he isn't Bush," yet it's not OK to elect Ah-nuld (or whomever) just because "he isn't Davis"? After all, Ah-nuld is being pushed for solutions all the time, yet no one is pushing any of the Gang of Nine for solutions of their own.

Because that's not the history of this recall. First, CA ran the worst budget deficit in its history. Davis already was seen as a nebbish. Issa saw an opportunity to be governor and get rid of Davis in one fell stroke. He thought he had the party's support so he spent some of his fast millions and did a recall of Davis.

Of course, the party double crossed him and he's odd man out but most would call what Issa did a power grab. Recalls or impeachments are done when a leader is dishonest or totally incompetent. Davis is neither.

So most people would have to say that this whole thing is a GOP power grab. As for Arnold.....nice guy, but don't think he's what CA needs right now. Riordan was the best pick. Without him running, I think Davis should stay in place and put this recall BS put on hold.

But then, I'm not a Californian.......so what do I know?
