why should somebody who is 30 years old pay 5x what Warren Buffett pays in property taxes for the same property?

Because we have a responsibility to protect older people from being forced out of their homes due to property tax increases.

Who cares what caused prices to go up, I sure don't.

Sure you do. You’d like to blame prop 13 for both the tax inequity you feel and your inability to attract workers. Behind the blame of prop 13 is the thought that the older generation did this to you. You’ve turned this economic situation into a hatred of the elderly.

Here comes the west nile virus, btw. Anybody without medical coverage should get pay-as-you-go treatment in my view. Let the tough love begin! Oh rats, people over 50 are the most vulnerable.

That really is a very sad statement. You’re building up a lot of bad karma.
