There is a wild fire right now near Carnation WA, a suburb of Seattle. The fire is burning brush on a clear cut. When they clear cut a forest, they leave a lot of slash and logs which dry out in the summer heat. This serves as kindling for the wild fire which now threatens the forest. I am suspicious of the Bush plan for thinning. If they take out the small trees and leave the big ones that are fire proof, it's ok but I don't trust them to do that because Bush is owned by the timber industry.
