It is always hostile imagery. Furthermore, a comparison of Christians to racists is very hostile. I did not find the Naked Public Square reasonable at all. I thought it was loaded with contempt and hostility, and unrealistic about the possibility of excluding public religious displays, which, after all, are not usually sponsored by the government, and are protected by the First Amendment. That by itself is the key: expressing, in essence, the wish to hide religious expression away, even though that in itself would be unconstitutional and unrealistic, is very different from protesting excessive entanglement........
