I totally and completely and even "absolutely" agree with you. I love those events. Doesn't bother me a bit if there's a religious component. I've eaten plenty of baklava and menudo (well, not plenty of menudo) in church basements and parking lots. It's beyond my comprehension that anyone could take exception to any of that.

That's not at all the same thing as the TC in a courthouse and surely you know it.

I think most Americans are very conscious about not giving unnecessary offense through religious expression already.

Well, perhaps, then, it's just the handful who get the press play, like politicians and religious leaders and issues advocates and talk show hosts, who haven't been enlightened.
