No, I think that if you focus on Roman Catholics (the largest single denomination) and mainstream Protestants, it is not dying hard at all. For a comparative handful belonging to evangelical denominations, or the evangelical wings of mainstream denominations, it may be dying hard, but even they are often just as happy to insist upon the separation of Church and State. Beyond that limited issue, they have always been in the cultural minority, and therefore have no dominance to lose...........
