No, they (Pons and Fleischman) discovered that in 1989. Many prominent figures attest that the powers that be have been busy suppressing the truth since then, while apparently trying to figure out how to put a meter on the technology. The truth (according to one side, at least) is a pretty tragic story, including death threats against Pons and Fleischman and their families, plus complete discreditation of other scientists involved, extending beyond Pons and Fleishman. Nevertheless, global work continues on the LENR and CF projects and significant advancements have been made. There may or may not be a hot water heater (or other usable CF device) yet, but it's just a matter of time, according to many.
I'm completely convinced that CF exists, and is being fought by the fossil fuels empire, corporate magnates, and world govs. CF poses a serious threat to their control over humanity. You better believe they will fight it until it can be fully controlled (e.g. until they are still empowered to control you and me). -ng-
But, truth continues to leak out... About a year ago, very interesting news regarding sonofusion materialized at the Oak Ridge laboratory in TN. The work passed extensive peer review and was published in Science magazine. Conventional physicist and prime gov croony Bob Park fought the publication tooth and nail, essentially by saying that CF can't possibly exist because the phenomenon doesn't conform to physical laws as we understand them. -ng-
