Sorry Lorne, but I really believe you got me all wrong. Whatever gave you the idea that I don't like Jews?
Fact of the matter is that I don't like scumbags. Whether you are white or black, Jewish or Christian, fat or skinny, it doesn't make a difference to me. Scum is scum. For instance, I will never defend a crook simply because he may be Italian. On the contrary, I hope he gets arrested because he disgraces a community.
Some people here choose to defend Israel at all cost, despite evidence which indicates that in some instances Israel was or is wrong. It is this attitude of "defend at all cost" which i find intolerable. When someone points out that such a stand is wrong, ie, criticizing one group for killing children while defending another group for doing same, one is labelled anti-semitic.
I just thought I'd let you know that I have a lot of admiration for most Jews. In general, they are a group in our society which others should emulate. However, I despise anyone who is a hypocrite. And there are many of those here on this board.
Now you tell me, does criticizing Israel on a particular issue make me a bigot or anti-semite? I personally don't think so. But some prefer labelling rather than supporting their argument. |
